Seward County started strong in the 2024-25 season after going 2-0 on the opening weekend that was followed up Tuesday afternoon with a dominant win over West Texas, with the Lady Saints taking down the Westerners 77-46 inside of the Green House for their home opener.
Seward opened the contest with guns blazing from long-range. Maddie Kincaide, Kylee Hunt, and Avery Marchino all nailed in a triple to help push Seward ahead 13-0 and force an early timeout from the Westerners. It was raining inside the Green House for the Lady Saints with every shot seeming to go in with an off-balanced floater from Chloe Burnham finding its way in to make it a 23-5 lead before a pair at the stripe from Marchino helped end the first 10 minutes with Seward fully in control with a 25-8 lead.
