HUGOTON – Nancy Jean Scott, 85, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024 at Western Prairie Senior Living Community in Ulysses.

She was born Sept. 15, 1939 to Vincent and Sarah (Reynolds) Medcalf.

She graduated from Hugoton High School in 1957. She attended Emporia Teacher’s College where she earned her bachelor’s in teaching in 1961.

ELKHART – Bill Tucker, 93, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024 at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart. 

He was born July 20, 1931 to Orrel and Gertrude (Odell) Tucker. 

He graduated from Elkhart High School in 1949. 

Maria Guadalupe Molina, 55, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, in Santa Fe, N.M.

She was born Nov. 17, 1968 to Josefina and Daniel Vizcaino. 

She was never scared to take on something new and did everything with honesty and love. She started every conversation with a joke and if you didn’t know her, you would think she was serious. After laughing and continuing her conversation, more jokes would come and eventually it would end with her contagious laugh.

Roberta Mae Hatfield, 85, died Oct. 27, 2024 in Grand Junction, Colo. after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

She was born July 28, 1938 in Fowler. 

She was known for her elegance and style, which she carried into her career in the fashion industry.
